TAKE THE PLUNGE AND LEARN TO SWIM

All our swimming pools offer a dedicated swimming lesson programme. From toddlers to older adults, we aim to improve confidence in and out of the water, with an emphasis on fun and progression.

Specific information on the delivery of the current programme, the swim school management software system and Teaching Portal can be found here. See below for a more general overview on the various stages in the programme and the opportunities for more individualised tuition.

Taught by fully qualified swim teachers, and affiliated with the STA’s (Swimming Teacher’s Association) International Learn to Swim Programme (ILSP), the getactiveabc Swim School allows children and adults to develop their skills and improve their confidence in a variety of strokes. Once enrolled, we guarantee your place in each set of lessons, from beginner to advanced.

Operating at Orchard Leisure Centre, Banbridge Leisure Centre and South Lake Leisure Centre, the getactiveabc Swim School motivates young learners’ progression with swimming through a range of badges and certificates.
