Lord Mayor congratulates Couch to 5k graduates

PORTADOWN C25K group have graduated with flying colours following an 8-week programme facilitated by Everybody Active Coach Nick Rusk in Portadown People’s Park.

Group sessions ran twice per week on a Monday and Wednesday evening with participants completing a third weekly session in their own time.  At the final session the group completed the graduation 5k run and received a commemorative t-shirt.

Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Kevin Savage attended the presentation and commented,

“I would like to congratulate each of the graduates for their determination and commitment to the 8-week programme.  They should all be extremely proud of themselves for improving not only their physical activity but also their mental wellbeing, I wish them every success in their continued running ventures.”

Delivered in conjunction with SportNI as part of the Athletics NI course via the Everybody Active 2020 Programme.
