Winning medals on Craigavon Lakes
Rowing is back on Craigavon Lakes after a 40-year break thanks to the Rowing Ulster Craigavon Lakes Regatta which took place on Saturday, June 23. Over 200 crews competing from 16 clubs took part in 119 races along the straight 1,000m, four-lane course. There was junior, club and masters rowing. Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Councillor Julie Flaherty is pictured with rowers.
Craigavon Watersports Centre at Craigavon Lakes is now operating from the grounds of Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre while the brand new £35m South Lake Leisure Centre is being constructed. The new leisure centre, which will include indoor and outdoor watersports, is due to open in summer 2020.
