Get Wet, Stay Safe Kids Disability Sessions

Swim Ulster, in association with Sport NI, is delighted to offer FREE Get Wet, Stay Safe disability swimming sessions for children and young people aged 8-17 years. Designed to build confidence and awareness in open water environments, the session combines both land-based and water-based learning, covering essential topics such as water safety, dynamic risk assessment, cold water shock, tides and currents, float-to-live techniques, emergency signalling, safe water entry and exit methods and post-swim recovery.

SOUTH LAKE WATERSPORTS

Thursday 6 August

6.00pm – 7.00pm 

For this course the participants do not have to be able to swim, the parent or guardian will be joining the child in the water, with a ratio of 1 child to 1 adult (aged over 18yrs) the child must be aged between 8-17 yrs.

Thursday 6 August

7.00pm – 8.00pm

Participants must be able to swim 25m continuously in a pool and be aged between 8-17 yrs.  We would encourage parents to join the children in the water but this is not essential.
