Through joining one of our getactiveabc fitness classes, you’ll learn new ways to keep fit and healthy whilst benefiting from the increased motivation that working out alongside others can deliver, and hopefully make plenty of friends from across Armagh Banbridge and Craigavon along the way!

Whether you want to lose weight, tone up, gain muscle or improve strength and endurance levels, the getactiveabc team has the perfect class to help you achieve your goals in a friendly and supportive environment.

Opt for one of our low cost, flexible membership packages, enabling you to access a diverse range of classes across all of our indoor leisure facilities or pay-as-you-go.



It’s so easy to book classes on the getactiveabc website by simply selecting your chosen facility, viewing the class timetable and finding a class and time that suits you!. All classes must be pre-booked and paid for via or telephone.

Over 260 classes per weeks across the borough are included in a getactiveabc membership and classes vary depending on facility. You can book your class in advance online or via the getactiveabc App

Get your heart pumping and increase your energy levels, as we move together in our fast-paced, high-energy classes which include circuits, group cycle, T24 , H.I.I.T, cardio pump, zumba and bootcamp.

These intense, exciting classes combine intensive cardio and conditioning for a full on, high-energy workout. Combine athletic movements like lunging and jumping with strength movements such as push-ups. We have classes featuring mixed martial arts, the techniques and skillset of boxing and strength training exercises

Friendly, top class instructors from the getactiveabc team deliver our classes. They are determined to create a supportive atmosphere to help you feel the benefits of every session and the group environment will motivate you to push on that little bit further and work to your maximum output.

Our high intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions are suitable for all levels of fitness and, whilst you can work at your own level, we know you will thrive from a bit of healthy competition.

We’re also continuing to run some outdoor bootcamp classes so you can enjoy a workout in the open air.

We run age specific fitness classes also such as Teen Fit and Nifty Fifties!

If you’re looking for a total body workout that will challenge your fitness and burn fat, this is the class for you. Timed periods that involve a combination of bodyweight and free weight exercises will help boost your strength and endurance. This high intensity class promises to get your heart rate up and help to improve your fitness.

Box fit is a high-intensity cardio workout based on boxing techniques using gloves and pad work. Suitable for all levels, this non-contact workout will you improve your agility, strength and overall fitness.


An exercise concept based on the training methods by boxers. Sessions typically involve hitting focus pads. It is a fun, challenging and safe workout which is great for stress busting and most importantly, accessible to all fitness levels.

Cardio Cycle is a high-intensity exercise on a stationary bike. The classes focus on endurance, strength, interval training, high intensity and recovery. Not only does it give you cardiovascular gains, but its great at toning muscles.

Cardio Dance is an interval-style dance fitness party that combines low-intensity and high-intensity moves. You’ll burn lots of calories as you move to the rhythm with Latin-inspired dance moves. The best part of it all is that it doesn’t even feel like exercise!

Circuits is a high intensity, fast-paced workout that can help tone your body and shed fat. Circuit classes are high energy and fast-paced and    involve moving your way around different exercise stations performing each exercise as many times as you can in a set amount of time.

Coach by Colour is suitable for all levels. This class uses five coloured training zones to accurately coach your effort, ensuring you’re training at the right intensity for every workout.

H.I.I.T [High Intensity Interval Training] is a type of interval training exercise. It incorporates several rounds that alternate between several minutes of high intensity movements to significantly increase the heart rate to at least 80% of one’s maximum heart rate, followed by short periods of lower intensity movements.

Activity class jumping

A typical Metafit class combines old-school bodyweight exercises with high-intensity interval training. Think push-ups, squats, planks, burpees, plyometric lunges, and squat jumps. Metafit workouts also use variations on standard bodyweight movements.

Metacamp is a series of intense workouts comprising of bodyweight hit, circuit training and sports based skills and drills training

Exclusive to South Lake Leisure Centre, members can wear a MyZONE heart rate monitor throughout a session which tracks progress onto a studio screen. You’ll see coloured-zones displayed: yellow, green and red, with red indicating members are working at their hardest capacity. During a 45-55-minute session, you can potentially burn 500-1,000 calories.

Virtual cycle at South Lake Leisure Centre

A high intensity class performed on a stationary exercise bike to music. The virtual instructor on screen will guide you through a combination of standing and seated exercises set at different paces and speeds.


This is a short class dedicated to toning and strengthening the muscles in the abdominals and lower back. Using minimal equipment, this intense workout will support posture, improve stability and enhance your core region.

Aqua Fit classes provide a fun and low-impact resistance workout that will increase your cardiovascular fitness, tone your muscles and strengthen your core. Classes take place in the pool where you will perform a number of exercises using both the resistance of the water and water weights.

This is a short class dedicated to toning and strengthening the muscles in the abdominals and lower back. Using minimal equipment, this intense workout will support posture, improve stability and enhance your core region.

Cardio Pump is a barbell-based resistance training class that aims to tone and strengthen your entire body.  It uses a barbell with light weights and high reps.  The exercises are performed to fast paced music.

Funtcional Gym Rig at South Lake Leisure Centre

Functional gym classes involve using the groundbreaking SYNRGY360 functional training rig for small group training sessions. The rig’s multiple use stations such as punch bag, battle ropes, monkey bars, TRX straps, kettle bells and medicine balls create a fun and varied training station. The class is suitable for all levels of ability with a focus on improving strength, coordination, flexibility, endurance, balance and stamina.

If you want to give your body a top-to-toe workout to some great music, then these classes are for you. The exercises involve completing reps using a choice of weights with plenty of repetition, designed to boost your metabolism, burn body fat and develop a stronger core.

This class varies from week to week ensuring you continue to condition, tone and sculpt your whole body. You will swing, lunge and squat your way to a more toned body whilst improving your strength, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance in our Kettlebells class.

Shape up and burn fat as you lunge, step and squat your way to fitness in this ever-popular, fun class using both weights and your own bodyweight. The high repetition based routines will put your legs, bums and tums through their paces in a bid to trim down those areas we love to hate!

This is a class that is entirely the choice of the Instructor. The class will have a warm-up, strength or skill work  and cool-down. Each WOD has a goal in mind – lift as heavy as possible, move as fast as possible, do as many reps as possible or just complete the work.


Start building a better you! Our lower-impact classes including Yoga, Pilates and Pi Yo Flow are mind-body workouts that build a stronger core and strengthen joints and muscles from head to toe. These lower-impact classes encourage your body’s natural healing abilities and will leave you feeling revived.

Power yoga is a combination of strength and cardio so quite a bit of flow work transitioning from one asana into another and is a bit more demanding than Hathaway. Power yoga classes move at a fast pace and require a certain level of strength and fitness as it focusses on the flow of one position to another.

Pilates concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on your posture, balance, and flexibility. This helps to improve general fitness alongside your overall wellbeing. Believing that physical and mental health are closely connected.

This is an active and restorative class which includes stretch and mobility exercises, many of which are derived from the practices of Pilates and Yoga. This allows muscles to be lengthened and joints to be moved through a range of motion in order to heal the body and improve overall physical condition. Breathing, deep relaxation, meditation and mindfulness brings a great mental and emotional benefit to participants who need to destress and feel a sense of calm.

Yoga class

Our yoga sessions will help you to feel supple, relaxed and energised as you embrace the flow of your natural body movements. You can burn around 280 calories per hour in a standard session. From energetic routines to slow, serene sequences, our classes balance movement and meditation.

This class is a holistic approach to using Yoga and Pilates inspired movements with a focus on cardio and toning interval training. This allows the participant to experience greater calorie burn and fat shred, whilst maintaining a mindful and low impact workout. Classes will always include deep stretch, mobility and restorative exercises to leave you feeling both energised and relaxed.



Come dressed in comfortable, breathable non-restrictive clothing as our staff will get you moving! Don’t forget to bring a towel to freshen up and a water bottle to hydrate.

If you are new to classes, let your instructor know when you arrive, and they will help you get started. All of our classes cater for a range of abilities, so you can work at your own pace.
