Leap Programme

The Project will see a wide range of training courses offered to participants from across the Borough.  Each participant will complete a:

– Practical Coaching Qualification

– 1-1 Personal Development Plan

– Bespoke Employability Training Workshops

Participants must be:

– 16-30 years old

– Currently living in Neighbourhood Renewal Area, or volunteer for a club in a Neighbourhood Renewal Area

– either unemployed or underemployed (16 hours a week or less) or at risk of redundancy or looking upskill or reskill

This programme is funded by Department for Communities, and Armagh City, Banbridge, Craigavon Borough Council and is fully organised and delivered by the Sports Development Team.

What is the Leap Programme?

The Leap Programme aims to use sport as a tool to help young people who are unemployed to develop their skills and confidence, thereby making participants more employable. The project aims to set up Leap Programme teams across the Borough.

Who is the Leap Programme for?

The Leap Programme for young people, aged 16 to 24, who are unemployed and are interested in developing skills and confidence, making participants more employable.

Participants must reside in the Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough to participate within this FREE programme.

When is the Leap Programme?

The Leap Programme is a 6 month course that takes place throughout the year.
