Leap Programme

This course is different than previous versions as we are guaranteeing candidates an interview for a Casual Leisure Attendant (pool side) upon completion and passing of the STA Pool Lifeguard Qualification.  With this in mind ALL sessions are mandatory including the safeguarding, application / interview skills training, the STA Qualification itself and of course the final interview for a job role within ABC Council at the end. All courses and activities take place in South Lake Leisure Centre, Craigavon

The project will see a wide range of training courses offered to participants from the Neighbourhood Renewal Area of Lurgan, Craigavon and Portadown. Participants must be able to attend all of the course dates as advertised.

To avail of the training programmes, participants must meet the following criteria:

• Be aged between 16 to 30
• Be currently living within the ABC Council Area (Priority will be given to those who live within a Neighbourhood Renewal Area [Lurgan/Craigavon/Portadown]
• Consider yourself as one of the following: unemployed, underemployed (16 hours a week or less), at risk of redundancy or looking to upskill or reskill

This programme is funded by Department for Communities, and Armagh City, Banbridge, Craigavon Borough Council and is fully organised and delivered by the Sports Development Team.
