Gallery: South Lake Junior Triathlon

154 young athletes aged 9-18 years took on the South Lake Junior Triathlon in Craigavon on Sunday 24 August!

This Youth National Series event was organised by Down Triathlon Club in association with Triathlon Ireland and hosted by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council’s Health and Recreation department, getactiveabc.

The event started with a swim segment, which took place inside in the 25m swimming pool at South Lake Leisure Centre – a new setting which challenged the athletes’ adaptability in a controlled environment – followed by a bike race along a clearly marked route before ending with a run.

We would like to acknowledge the support from 81 marshals and volunteers, friends and family, Triathlon Ireland and their 4 strong technical officer team that secured a safe and fair race.
