Even blue Monday can’t dim a bright mindset
We’re turning ‘blue Monday’ into a burst of positivity and feel good energy by sharing some feedback from our hugely popular Ease into Fitness programme!
Regardless of the day of the week or month of the year, one of the most effective ways to lift your mood, boost your energy and support your overall well-being is to get moving!
Our Ease into Fitness programme at Tandragee Recreation Centre has been a huge hit with people from all walks of life – some recovering from an injury or managing a health condition, to those taking their first steps into exercise!
Ciara McAteer leads the programme and says: “Ease into Fitness was originally started for people who were new to exercise and fitness, those coming back to exercise after a long break and those who have a love hate relationship with the gym. The aim is to help everyone by building their confidence at a pace that suits them. My motto for this programme is ‘progression, not perfection!
“The class is low impact, non-judgemental and perfect for those keen to lose weight, recovering from an injury and those who just want to boost their health and well-being by moving more. We begin with some warm up activities and then focus on 20 seconds and three sets of each exercise, which really seems to work with everyone. We do some upper body work before moving onto the mat for floor exercises and finish off with stretches.
Speaking about the impact of the programme, Ciara says: “This class is a big confidence builder and it’s great to see everyone making progress, whether it’s progressing with weights, making new friendships, or progressing to other programmes and classes such as spin, circuits or body tone.”
New members are warmly welcome to join the class at Tandragee Recreation Centre, Wednesdays from 7.00pm – 8.00pm. For more information, please call the centre on 028 3884 1110.
