Banbridge Family Canoe Sessions

Enjoy a gentle introduction and guided tour of the stunning River Bann during our Family Canoeing sessions.

Delivered in partnership with the Ulster Canoe Club, these 90-minute, family-friendly activities are great for those aged 8 years + and with our expert guides, you’ll soon get to grips with the art of canoeing. Spend time exploring the hidden creeks and waterways of the stunning river whilst trying to spot the varied wildlife along the way.

All instruction and equipment are provided, making these sessions perfect for a family day out.

Date | Thu 7 August & Sat 23 August

Time | Session 1: 10.30am – 12.00pm | Session 2: 1.00pm – 2.30pm | Session 3: 3.00pm – 4.30pm [please arrive 15 mins before your sessions starts]

Cost | £20 for two people in a canoe, £10 for an additional third person. Maximum two adults and one child or one adult and two children per canoe

Suitable for families with children aged 8 years + | Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian | The canoes can hold up to 3 people, so please ensure you book with a family member or friend/s.

What do I need to bring with me?

All equipment is provided. Please come dressed to go on the water ie, casual leisure wear and shoes you don’t mind getting wet. Please bring a change of clothes with you.

Is there parking available?

Parking is available onsite and in the immediate area. Please allow additional time for parking.

Are there toilet facilities available?

Toilet facilities are available next to the car park.

Where can I eat nearby?

The town boasts numerous lovely coffee shops and tea rooms, perfect for treating yourself after a session on the water. Always wash your hands before touching food.
