MUGA Summer Camp 23

The project will:

  • Increase the sporting and physical activity levels of the local community
  • Build community capacity by taking ownership of facility and the associated programming.
  • Provide diversionary activities for this identified target age group.
  • Bring different communities together through the use of sport and themed workshops.

This programme is funded by Department for Communities, and Armagh City, Banbridge, Craigavon Borough Council.  This programme is organised and delivered by the Sports Development Team.

MUGA PROGRAMMES

MUGA Sports sessions are led by experienced coaches who will ensure you have fun, learn new skills and get the best out of each session.

Various types of sports and games will be played such as football, basketball and tennis.

What are MUGAS?

The programme is designed through close consultation with local communities and sports clubs to provide organised and structured community led programme of coaching and competitive sporting opportunities for young people across a range of venues across the Borough. Venues include, Multi-Use Games Areas, Open Spaces, Community Centres, Community Halls, and other leisure facilities.

Who are MUGAS for?

MUGAS for young people aged between 7 – 17 who are interested in getting active in their community. Please see posters for age groups for each location.
