RACE RESULTS 2026

Athletes, fun runners and active families are getting ready to lace up their running shoes for the annual Craigavon Lake Run on Wednesday 3 June 2026!

Starting from South Lake Leisure Centre and following a flat, scenic loop around the idyllic Craigavon Lakes, participants can take on the 1K Family Fun Run, 5K, 10K or 10K wheelchair races!

Sponsored by Rushmere Shopping Centre, McKeever Sports, Lidl, Tesco, Eurospar, Lake Road Centra and organised by ABC Council, the start line is located at the back gate of the Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre before guiding runners onto the lakeside path. The finish line is positioned at the Craigavon Lakes slipway near the South Lake Leisure Centre car park.

Craigavon Lake Run 2026 will be supporting the new Lord Mayor’s chosen charity.

Race packs can be collected from Mc Keever Sports Retail Shop, Unit 8, Gilpinstown Road, Lurgan, Craigavon. BT66 8RL from Sunday 31st 1pm until Tuesday 2nd June 6pm. Late pack collections can be made from South Lake leisure centre from 10am Wednesday 3rd June until 6.30pm.

Please note Registration will close on Wednesday 27th May.

When is Craigavon Lakes 10k, 5k, and 1k Family run?

What time does the run start?

1k Family Fun run 6:45pm
Wheelchair Friendly 10k 7.00pm
5k run 7:10pm
10k run 7:20pm

 

Who can enter this year's event?

1k Family Fun Run – All ages, 11 years or under must be accompanied by an adult.

5k Run – 11 years of age and over. Children can race with their friends but they must be accompanied to the event by an adult,

10k Run – 16 years of age and over.

Wheelchair Race – 16 years of age and over.

Is this a timed event?

Yes, the 5k and 10k runs will be chipped/timed.

The 1k Family Fun run will not be timed.

How much does it cost to enter?

When is the closing date for entries?

No late entries. Registration closes at 10.00pm on 27th May. 

Where and when can I pick up my race number?

Race packs can be collected from Mc Keever Sports Retail Shop, Unit 8, Gilpinstown Road, Lurgan, Craigavon. BT66 8RL from Sun 31st May 1.00pm until Tues 2nd June 6.00pm. Late pack collections can be made from SLLC reception from 10.00am Wed 3rd June until 6.30pm [opening hours HERE]

What does my registration fee include?

Registration fee includes:

  • Free parking at Rushmere Shopping Centre – upper, Craigavon Civic Centre and Marlborough House,

South Lake car park will be closed to race participants.

  • Entrance into a run of your choice
  • Marshalls on hand to help and provide first aid if required
  • Timed run (10k and 5k only)
  • Finisher’s medal, water bottle & snack.
  • Winners medal, getactiveabc voucher and Rushmere Shopping Centre prize vouchers for 5K & 10K

Where is the official start and finish?

The start line will be located at the back gate of Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre before leading runners onto the lakeside path, with the finish straight in front of Craigavon Lakes slipway leading towards South Lake Leisure Centre car park.

Both start & finish lines will be highlighted with markers.

Can I swap my race number?

No. Each individual is set up with a registration/race number. The race number is specific to the registration details provided online and is for your personal use only. For health and safety reasons you cannot change or offer this number to anyone else. Any participant with the wrong race number will be disqualified.

Where will times for the race be posted?

Race results will posted here on 4 June 2026.

Every participant receives a medal at race finish

Can I change routes after registration?

No, sorry this is not possible.

What if I can’t make it to the event?

The event is non-refundable

Must I sign in on the day?

Runners do not need to sign in on the day; this will be done when you collect your race number, which you must wear on the front of your running top. Please note the timing chip is part of your race number, do not tamper with this.

Can I register on the day of the event?

No, registrations close 10pm 27th May

Where do I park on the day?

Rushmere Shopping Centre is providing free car parking on the upper deck, Carpark 1, Craigavon Civic & Conference Centre & Marlborough House will provide overflow parking.

Are there changing facilities?

We strongly recommend that runners come changed and ready to run as there will be no changing facilities at South Lake Leisure Centre. Toilets are available at Rushmere Shopping Centre and South Lake Leisure Centre.

What do I need to bring with me?

Participants should bring appropriate running attire, comfortable running shoes and wear their timing chip and race number on the front of their top.

Will there be water stations?

Yes, there will be water stations outside South Lake Leisure Centre

Is the event Marshalled?

Yes, there will be marshals throughout the route and at water stations.

What first aid facilities will be available?

St John Ambulance will be on station at South Lake Leisure Centre, all lead cyclists and marshals are trained in first aid. Defibrillators are available at South Lake Leisure Centre and Tannanghmore Gardens.

 

Rules of the event

All competitors acknowledge that they will be running at entirely their own risk and to the extent permitted by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977. Staff organising the Craigavon Lakes 10K will not be liable for any loss, damage, illness or injury whatsoever directly or indirectly occasioned by or resulting from the negligence, wrongful act or default of the staff, its members, employees or agents or from any other cause, including the physical condition of the competitor.
