The Street Sports and Junior Street Sports project will:

  • Increase sporting opportunities for young people.
  • Increase physical activity levels of participants.
  • Develop social, cross community and good relations opportunities.
  • Provide diversionary activities for this identified target age group.

This programme is funded by Department for Communities, Peace IV, PCSP, OFMDFM and Armagh City, Banbridge, Craigavon Borough Council and is fully organised and delivered by the Sports Development Team.

What is Street Sports?

The Street Sports and Junior Street Sports project is FREE and aims to provide a number of community youth diversionary leagues for 12-17 year olds. Alongside the sporting opportunities, participants will also take part in a range of other workshops and activities focusing on good relations, team building, DJ workshops, dance and other fitness elements.

Who is Street Sports for?

The Street Sports and Junior Street Sports project is for young people aged between 12 – 17 years, who are interested in getting active in their community.

Where is Street Sports held?

The Street Sports and Junior Street Sports project is held across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon borough on various synthetic pitch venues.
