Sports Bursary Endorsement: NI Archer Sinead Byrne

January 03, 2021

Ballyvally Archery Club member Sinead Byrne from Banbridge has many strings to her bow when you consider her fine display of archery prowess to date.

She is the first ever female ambassador for archery in NI. She currently holds the titles for U16 British Indoor Champion, U16 NI Indoor Champion and NI Ladies Senior Indoor Champion and is on Archery GB Development and Youth squads.

Sinead has represented Archery NI, both as a junior and senior at various competitions. However, her biggest achievement was being selected to represent Archery GB internationally in Slovenia were she was ranked 6th in her category.

She is hoping to be selected to represent GB at the World Youth Archery Championships in Australia next year and has recently achieved the selection scores needed for the European Field Championship next year.

Sinead describes how a sports bursary from Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Sports Forum helped her…
