May 23, 2025

Athletes, fun runners and active families are lacing up their running shoes for the annual Craigavon Lake 1k, 5k and 10k run and wheelchair race on Wednesday 25 June 2025!

Sponsored by Rushmere Shopping Centre, McKeever Sports, Lidl, Tesco, Eurospar and organised by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, the Craigavon Lake Run is now a regular feature in the athletics calendar and attracts over 500 entrants each year!

The 1k Family Fun Run and 5k are suitable for all ages (those aged 11 years and under must be accompanied by an adult). The 10k run/wheelchair race is suitable for those aged 16 years and over.

This popular event will take participants around the idyllic Craigavon Lakes. The race starts at the back gate of Craigavon Civic and Conference Centre leading onto Craigavon Lakes path, with the finish line in front of the Craigavon Lakes slipway – leading towards South Lake Leisure Centre car park.

Late pack collections can be made from South Lake Leisure Centre reception from 12pm Tuesday 24 June onwards. Race packs include a race number (and chip, bib and pin for the 5k and 10k participants).

After crossing the finish line, participants will receive a medal and refreshments courtesy of the race sponsors. The winners from the 10k and 5k races and wheelchair race will receive getactiveabc and Rushmere vouchers!
