
Get off the couch and on the road!
The summer holidays have been and gone and for many, September marks a fresh start with new routines and new goals.
If getting fitter is your goal, the Couch to 5k programme starting 15 September in Armagh and Portadown could be just the ticket for you!
Couch to 5k is a beginner-friendly 8-week training plan that combines walking and running to help you feel fitter and better. The goal is to steadily build up your fitness and stamina to complete a 5k run in November.
This season’s in-person programme will run at The Mall Armagh and People’s Park Portadown at 6:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays (starting Monday 15 September). There is also the option to complete the programme virtually, allowing participants the flexibility to complete the programme around their own schedule.
Whether you choose to do Couch to 5k in-person or virtually, rest assured that a team of qualified coaches will support, advise and motivate you throughout the programme.
The 8-week programme culminates with participants completing the Armagh Parkrun, Citypark Parkrun Craigavon, Lurgan Park Parkrun, Lurgan Junior Parkrun or their own 5k!
(Participants on the in-person programme must be aged 16+ to take part).
