Free Get Moving ABC Workplace scheme welcomes new business partners

Local businesses Turkington and Irwin’s Baker have become GetMovingABC Workplace Partners, jointly exploring, coordinating and planning with our GetMovingABC team how to motivate and support their employees to lead active and fulfilling lives inside and outside of work.

The Get Moving ABC Partnership’s target is to get more of our population moving and become the most physically active borough in Northern Ireland. The challenge aims to reduce inactivity and develop more positive attitudes towards being physically active to support health and wellbeing across all communities within the borough.

Highlights of the 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 programme include:

Corporate Indoor Leisure Membership Scheme.

Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke deliver a workplace health programme entitled ‘Work Well Live Well’, funded by the Public Health Agency

Opportunity to enter a workplace team into a Business Games Day.

Support and guidance through an in-house virtual Couch to 5K & 10K.

Opportunity to sign up a workplace team to the popular Craigavon Lakes 5k & 10K competition.
