Local businesses encouraged to invest in their staff with free workplace scheme

Businesses – would you like to invest in the health and wellbeing of your staff but don’t know where to start?

Then let Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council help you with their Get Moving ABC Workplace scheme – for free!

According to the Chartered Institute of Personal Development (CIPD), investing in employee health and wellbeing can lead to increased resilience, better employee engagement, reduced sickness absence and higher productivity.

Through the Get Moving ABC Workplace scheme, council can help you explore, coordinate and plan how to motivate and support your employees to lead an active and fulfilling life, inside and outside of work.

Each business who signs up to the scheme will get started by having a meeting with our experts who will help to identify the needs of staff members, before developing a bespoke package that will meet those needs.

Some of the things included through this scheme are: becoming part of a Corporate Indoor Leisure Membership Scheme; support and guidance through Couch to 5K/10K; opportunity to enter a workplace team into a Business Games Day; information on how to sign your work place up to an active travel scheme; collaboration with the NI Chest, Heart and Stroke charity’s Live Well Work Well programme – plus lots more!
