Oxford Island Christmas Trail
This Christmas, adventure awaits in the great outdoors!
From sleepy squirrels to leaping frogs, Oxford Island’s free Christmas trail offers a delightful mix of nature’s wonders! Enjoy fresh air and festive fun as you explore the woodlands in a novel way. Collect the names of the animals you discover and help us complete our fun, nature-inspired twist on the classic 12 Days of Christmas!
At each stop along the trail, you’ll uncover hidden wildlife – will you be able to remember them all by the time you reach the end? Bring your family and your sense of wonder – the wild is waiting to be explored!
Suitable for children and adults, there is no charge to take part in the trail and booking is not required. The route takes 30-45 minutes to complete.
Begin the trail at the car park outside the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, following the path past Oxford Island Play Park and into the woodlands.
Please note: There is a set of steps along the route. Lough Neagh Discovery Centre will be closed during this period. Toilet facilities are available at Kinnego Marina (excluding Christmas Day).
