Hug In A Mug!

February 17, 2021

Wednesday 17th February 2021 is “Random Act of Kindness Day” and to mark the occasion, Café incredABLE at South Lake is joining the “Suspended Coffee Movement”. Re-opening Friday, 26 February at 9am for weekend takeaway service,  Café incredABLE will be offering suspended coffees in Craigavon’s state-of-the-art South Lake Leisure Centre.

What is a suspended coffee? It is simply a coffee bought to a deserving person by a kind stranger. This act of charity is believed to originate from the caffé sospeso [suspended coffee in Italian] tradition of Naples where a customer who had experienced good fortune would pay for two coffees, but drink only one, leaving the second one behind as an act of kindness for someone unable to afford a hot drink.

To participate, all you have to do is let the Café incredABLE team know at the till that you would like to buy a suspended coffee. Then, if you wish, leave a message of kindness on their noticeboard to brighten up someone’s day. To receive, just check at the till if there’s a suspended coffee available. You don’t have to explain why you would like it. Then, along with your hot drink, choose a random message of kindness and enjoy your day! Watch this space! There will be more updates on this very special project very soon!
Café incredABLE are continuing to service a contract with the NHS to provide refreshments to staff administering COVID-19 vaccinations and are delighted to see so many people availing of this free service at South Lake Leisure Centre (If you are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine, you can book it here: https://covid-19.hscni.net/get-vaccinated/)
