School Competition celebrates World Daily Mile Day: Join The Movement

April 21, 2023
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is encouraging all local schools and early years settings to get moving and join World Daily Mile Day on Thursday 27th April 2023.

Open to all schools across Northern Ireland – right from early years to secondary level – the virtual mass participation event aims to get as many young people as possible active together at the same time to help raise awareness of the positive benefits daily physical activity has on children’s physical and mental health.

Every registered school/early years setting will receive a free downloadable digital pack from the Daily Mile containing fun resources to help celebrate on the day.

To encourage schools to get involved, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has a fantastic prize on offer. The winning class will win 𝐚 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝟒𝟎 𝐩𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐬 (minimum age 8+).
