The evening will consist of an introductory talk providing details on bats and their habitats before exploring Lurgan Park with bat detectors, in search of the little flying mammals.
Suitable for participants aged 8+ must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Himalayan Balsam Bashing Days

The Big Balsam Bash is back and we’re rallying volunteers to tackle Himalayan Balsam on the Portadown to Newry Towpath. This is an invasive species causing unrest to our native plants and wildlife and we encourage you to meet at Moneypenny’s Lockhouse to lend a hand!
Archaeology Kids Activity Programme
Tue 20 – Thu 22 August | 10.00am – 2.00pm
Lurgan Park | £19.50 per child
Delve into our ancient times and discover how our Mesolithic ancestors lived. Over the 3 day programme at Lurgan Park, children will learn how archaeologists excavate, try their hand at historic crafts and learn how to identify artefacts and piece together pottery.
