Woodlands Park

This Woodland Park is a hidden gem in Gilford, situated at the rear of the former Gilford Mill.

Woodlands has something to offer everyone with the children’s play area and grass sports pitch in constant use.

For a more peaceful time in Woodlands Park visitors can walk among the mature native trees, beautiful throughout the entire year.

The area is always buzzing with biodiversity and provides a great opportunity to connect with nature and spot some native bird species.

Gilford Riverside Trail is a riverside walking and cycling path connecting parkland along the Upper Bann and linking both ends of the village. You can enter/leave the trail at Woodlands Park at the far end of the village and off Bridge Street at the other end. Take a relaxing stroll, enjoy a walk with your dog, run or cycle next to the river to enjoy nature or use the route to walk or cycle to local shops, schools, services or the community centre. The trail is a shared path for all – so please think of other users.

From Bridge Street to the river viewing platform at the weir near Woodlands Park – is approx. 0.52 mile/0.84 km. The circuit at Gilford Community Centre, Stramore Park is approx. 0.16 mile/0.26 km
